Service: In a sworn statement before the Judge of Franklin Court on Nov 13,1832 hes states that he was drafted in service in 1778,and served in Regt of Col Drake, under Capt JENNINGS, and Col ALLEN for 3 weeks.

About a year later he was gain drafted and served more than 2 months
under Capt RIGGINS, and Col NETHERTON:

Afterwards served in Col DRAKE'S Regt ., 4 months. Was at Yorktown

Served as a guard to Cornwallis' army until they arrived ar Nolen's Ferry where he (COOKSEY) was discharged.

Proof: Pension Claim S 17357 from Virginia.
