Died: Aug 23, 1863, Springfield Twsp, Franklin Co., Indiana
Service: Volunteered in 1776, while a resident of Kent Co., Maryland and served on short tours on alarms, from that yeat until 1782 - 3 years and two months in all
Allof his servce was as a guard for the shores of Baltimore Bay and Elk River.
He was in a number of skirmishes, several of them quite severe and the British were frequently prevented fromlanding atthepoint of the bayonet.
