FYI in case you want to document this fact concerning two
brothers that both were in the rev. war: William Glidewell (mispelled
Glidwell in many records) and his brother Robert Glidewell, are neither
one actually buried in Kendrick, MS, as recorded in some LDS records. I
have researched this family for years--the real story is that a woman
(now deceased) who was trying very much to get registered into the
D.A.R. back in the 1950's spent a lot of time assuming facts in her
family tree to make it look as if she was descended from one of the two
brothers. Anyway to make a long story short, there are "commemorative
markers" in a cemetery in Kendrick MS but the officials I talked to
admit they were erected at her expense to be by her home in MS, so that
she could join that organization. It turns out she didn't have to
"fudge" the facts after all because although she isn't directly related
to either one of the two Indiana men, she has another Glidewell ancestor
that served at Valley Forge.
Just wanted you to know that they aren't really buried in MS in
case you wanted to note that on your site, and actually the funniest
part is that they (Robert and William) have no connections in MS either.
William is my 5xGrandfather.
